Hubbard’s Marina Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of John’s Pass Staples: Royal Conquest Pirate Ship, Dolphin Quest, and Shark Boat Tours
Madeira Beach, FL – November 3, 2025 – The Hubbard family, renowned as the Bay Area’s premier provider of on-water entertainment and fishing experiences, proudly announces the acquisition of three beloved John’s Pass attractions: Royal Conquest Pirate Ship, Dolphin Quest, and Shark Boat Tours. These popular tours will continue to operate seamlessly under Hubbard’s management, ensuring no interruption of service and maintaining the same high-quality guest experiences that locals and visitors have come to enjoy.
This acquisition follows closely on the heels of the recent PSTA award naming Hubbard’s Ferry, a Hubbard’s Marina enterprise, as the new operator of the Tampa Bay Ferry Service between downtown Tampa and downtown St. Petersburg.
With nearly a century of maritime heritage and operational expertise, the Hubbard family continues to strengthen its commitment to connecting the community with Tampa Bay’s waters.
“We are honored to take on this exciting new chapter,” said Dylan Hubbard, Vice President of Hubbard’s Marina. “For four generations, our family has been dedicated to connecting people with the water. This expansion allows us to continue that mission—offering safe, reliable, and enjoyable experiences that bring our community and visitors closer to Tampa Bay’s incredible waters. “The addition of these attractions marks a significant investment in John’s Pass and Tampa Bay tourism, reinforcing John’s Pass as a top destination for family-friendly adventure and waterfront entertainment. The Hubbard family’s continued growth reflects their dedication to preserving the region’s maritime culture while expanding opportunities for visitors to explore and enjoy Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Hubbard’s Enterprise Ecosystem: The Hubbard’s Enterprise Ecosystem is a fourth-generation family of businesses rooted in a legacy of life on the water in Tampa Bay. From Hubbard’s Marina, the region’s premier destination for fishing and cruises, to Hubbard’s Ferry, connecting communities across the bay, the family has spent nearly a century building a vibrant maritime network.
Today, the ecosystem includes Hubbard’s Sea Adventures, Hubbard's Marina, Hubbard's Ferry, Hubbard's Media, Hub’s Marine Fabrication, the iconic Friendly Fisherman Seafood Restaurant, Don’s Docks Seafood Market, Fuel and Bait Shop, and Hub’s Ranch & Grove (home to Wonderfield Farm)—extending the family’s values into tourism, vessel innovation, food, and regenerative agriculture. Unified by a deep respect for place, the Hubbard’s Enterprise Ecosystem continues to grow with a vision for resilient, community-driven services that honor its storied past while shaping a regenerative future.
