TrueScan: New Clinic Offering Full Body MRI Scans
TrueScan welcomed its first patients on Monday, Dec.16, 2024 at 5015 4th St N. Suite B St. Petersburg Florida 33703. TrueScan provides full body MRI scans that enable the early detection of over 500 conditions, often long before symptoms appear and when early intervention is most effective. The scan is fast (60 minutes), safe (no harmful radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast).
The scan can detect most forms of cancer as early as Stage I and other commonly undetected conditions such as aneurysms and autoimmune conditions like multiple sclerosis.
The Mission:
In the US, where 1 in 2 people develop cancer in their lifetime, there are only 4 types of cancers that are recommended for routine screening (i.e. mammography for breast cancer). However, only 14% of diagnosed cancers are detected by those screenings. The other 86% of diagnosed cancers are either caught by accident or due to symptoms, which is often too late. TrueScan is on a mission to eliminate the other 86%. Detecting cancer in Stage I greatly improves survival, which is made possible with a TrueScan full body MRI.
The Experience:
During your scan, TrueScan offers the option of streaming any one of your favorite TV shows, movies, or music from platforms such as Netflix, Youtube TV, ESPN, HBO Max, Spotify, and Youtube. You will also be provided with a private, secure changing room to store personal items and valuables.
After your appointment, you will receive your report within 7 days. A physician from the TrueScan team will reach out to you to schedule your complementary consultation to review your report and answer any questions you have. TrueScan has experienced physicians on staff from a variety of fields, including cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Robert Lazzara and neuroradiologist Dr. Glenn Call.
